Scala maven dependencies for running parboiled-core tests?

fge
Hello,

I have forked the project on github and set it up in IDEA. Unfortunately, I cannot figure for the life of me the needed dependencies to run tests in parboiled-code (apart from testng, of course). What are the necessary maven artifacts for this?

Also, why are there tests depending on scala in parboiled-core? Why aren't they in parboiled-scala?

I use SBT[1] for building parboiled,
testng is only used for old test code (and might go away altogether in the future).
Tests are run from scala and SBT.

I don't use maven so unfortunately I cannot be of help regarding how to set it up.

Cheers,
Mathias

OK, thanks for the information... I trust parboiled to do the right thing anyway ;)

Side note: are there any plans to "oust" examples (whether they be Java or Scala) to other projects? The way I see it, in Java at least, with a basic pom.xml, it would allow people to fork that project and have them working from the get go. As I don't know Scala, I cannot tell whether that is easily doable.

Hmm… I think the amount of boilerplate required for getting parboiled to run quite minimal.
So, I'm not sure a "template" project really would be worthwhile.

What exactly would you like to see "ousted" into a dedicated project?

Cheers,
Mathias

Just the examples. For now, if you want to run them, you basically have to fork the entire project and set it up.

Imho, this would also allow for more contributions of grammars.

I see. After the move to SBT you now need SBT to run the examples after having cloned the codebase…
Hmmm...

I'll think about your proposal. Thanks for bringing it up!

Cheers,
Mathias
